- Setting up the Imager to Capture an Image
One or more measurement cursors can be added to the screen as needed. After choosing the type of measurement cursor needed, confirm your selection by pressing Menu.
Place your chosen cursor over your target of interest. The temperature will be displayed in the upper right corner of the screen.
For critical measurements, the highest level of accuracy can be obtained by first forcing a calibration cycle. To perform a calibration cycle, press and hold the A button for 5 seconds until Calibrating appears in the upper left portion of the display.
Freeze Current Image for On-Screen Analysis
To freeze the current image for detailed on-screen analysis, press the S button.
Temperature Range Limits
If the target of interest has a temperature outside the range limits of the imager, an error message will be displayed.
For temperatures lower than the bottom limits of the Standard (or Optional High Temperature) Range, an error message of <XXX° will be displayed, where XXX is the minimum temperature within the range.
For temperatures above the upper limits of the Standard (or Optional High Temperature) Range, an error message of >XXX° will be displayed, where XXX is the maximum temperature within the range.
The imager gives the ability to modify the measurement parameters for specific targets and surface issues, using a pop-up attribute box.
