L/S indicates the imager is in manual range selection mode. In the above image, the range is 75°F to 82°F.
Calibrating indicates that the imager is in the process of its periodic array refresh process. All camera functions are frozen during this quick operation.
*The time interval for the array refresh is settable.
Digital zoom is activated by pressing the up or down navigation buttons. Activating the 2x digital zoom makes the pixels twice as large, showing only the center of the array. When active, the imager in x2 mode is now a 80 x 60 resolution imager versus a 160 x 120 resolution in x1 mode.
Using the A button, highlight (outline in yellow) the color temperature bar at the bottom of the screen. Using the Left or Right navigation buttons, select from 9 color and 2 black & white palettes.
