The R40 Series of Fixed Infrared Sensors are easy to install single piece systems.  Signal processing features include Peak Hold, Valley Hold, and Averaging – adjustable via the built-in keypad.  Backlit 5 digit LCD display allows for on site viewing and setting parameters.  Available spectral ranges of 1.0μm, 1.6μm, 2.4μm, 3.43μm, 3.9μm, 4.11 – 4.72μm, 5.1μm, 7.9μm, and 8 to 14μm are suitable for a wide variety of applications, with temperature ranges up to 5432°F (3000°C).

The Heat Spy Monitor R40 Series Fixed Infrared Sensors are appropriate for a wide variety of applications with an assortment of spectral ranges and temperature ranges to choose from.  Models are equipped with either thermopile or photodiode sensors, depending on the options chosen. The R40 is a single piece system, with optics and electronics built into one sealed, IP65 (NEMA 4) housing made of ANSI 304 Stainless Steel.  Use the integrated keypad and backlit 5 digit LCD display to view and set measuring parameters and signal processing features. Twelve pin connection cable for simultaneous analog and digital input and output. Options include:

  • 0 to 20 or 4 to 20 milliamp Linear Current Loop, sub-range programmable, user selectable.
  • RS485 for networking up to 32 sensors.
  • Relay for alarm and PLC control, user programmable.
  • External Input for reset and parameter adjusting of AVG, PEAK HOLD and VALLEY HOLD.

Select the length of your cable, up to 100 meters. Built in laser is included on most models to assist with alignment (not included in P3 and F4 models).

Communicate via the RS485 connection for programming for OEM applications, and for remote setup and monitoring.  Available accessories include:

  • One axis surface mount bracket
