The HSI250 has a 160 x 120 thermal array for a total of 19,200 individual pixels – superior to the typical 80 x 60 arrays with only 4,800 pixels found in other units of this class. The design is lightweight and ergonomic, ideal for scanning and checking for dangerous and expensive overheat in a wide variety of locations. Use the included laser pointer to assist in aiming the center of the screen at the target. The HSI250 features our 2/10 Warranty: the camera is warrantied for defects in materials and workmanship for 2 years, while the thermal array is warrantied for 10 years against defects in materials and workmanship.
The HSI250 includes a Noise Equivalent Temperature Difference (NETD) of less than 40 millikelvins at 25°C; when combined with one of the four included color palettes, this allows the user to more clearly define temperature differentials to highlight what you want to reveal in your thermal image. Enable the seeking max & min point cursors to auto detect the highest and lowest temperature on the screen, to assist in finding the points of interest.
This model is useful for inspection of electrical, motors, bearing housings, buildings, energy leaks, missing insulation, water leaks, leaking HVAC ducts, overheating pumps, and compressors. Switch between two temperature ranges, -4° to 320°F or 212° to 1022°F as well as Celsius and Kelvin equivalents, with an accuracy of ±2°C or ±2%, whichever is greater.
