The Wahl DHS29 Series High Performance handheld infrared thermometers are advanced, easy to use models.  Designed for use in the processing of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, this model has an ultra-high temperature range of 900° to 3200°F (482° to 1760°C).  With precision ground mirrors and rare earth germanium filters, infrared energy is tightly focused on on the patented detector for accuracy of ± 0.3% of full scale (at 77°F, ±5°) and repeatability of ±3°F with 1°F / °C resolution. Measures through glass ports, flames, and products of combustion. Aim through ports in furnace walls at refractories, glass gobs, furnace tubes, ceramics, billets, slag, and annealing materials.  The sapphire window protects the silicon optics from heat and contamination.

Aluminum housing is durable and long lasting, providing shielding against stray EMF from machinery and engines. Each model is °F/°C Switchable with adjustable emissivity.  The DHS29 Series features an anti-reflective filter for accurate use in sunlight or strong light sources.  This model can measure normal materials, including glass surfaces.  Measurement with the DHS29 is not affected by IR heaters, carbon dioxide, or water vapor.  The narrow spectral range of 2.1 - 2.5 microns is suited for general purpose, high temperature measurement through glass.

Choose the best sighting option for your application:

  • Enclosed optical sight is appropriate for most applications and provides target definition at 4 feet and 20 feet with parallax correction.
  • Telescopic sight is on the centerline of the infrared optics and is appropriate for long distances (20 to 100 feet), or for precise aiming on small objects like bolts, thick cable, tubing, forgings, castings, and more.

All DHS29 Series models feature LCD screens.  Each unit comes with user manual, appropriate battery, carry case, trigger lock, and AC adapter; choose 110V or 220V.
This model does not have FM approval.

The DHS29 has a three year warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship.

Due to the nature of these units, each item is built to order.  Please contact us for lead time and pricing information.
